Taking Survival To Heart
Vision
Eliminate cardiac disease as a barrier to effective cancer therapy in all of our patients being treated or who were previously treated for cancer.
Mission
Create a vibrant international society based on research, education and effective collaboration among clinicians and researchers in Cardiology and Oncology. The Society is dedicated to providing safe completion of cancer therapies and lifetime avoidance of preventable cardiovascular complications related to cancer and the treatments that are involved.
NO ONE HAS EVER BECOME POOR BY GIVING
Why does there need to be a focus on CardioOncology?
The complexity of contemporary cancer treatment has risen dramatically and patients are surviving even longer than ever before. As a result, cardiac disease comes to the forefront of long term survivorship.
Why donate time, energy, and money to the cause?
True multidisciplinary approaches to medical care are always valued and have dramatic improvements in overall outcomes.
