Darko Antic is a Professor of Internal Medicine at the Medical Faculty of the University of Belgrade, specializing in lymphoproliferative diseases with a focus on CLL and cancer-associated thrombosis. Darko Antic plays pivotal roles in several international health organizations, notably the European Hematology Association (EHA), the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH), and the International Initiative on Thrombosis and Cancer (ITAC).
At EHA, Dr. Darko Antic has contributed to the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion taskforce and has chaired multiple sessions at EHA meetings. Within ISTH, Dr Antic co-chairs the SSC on Haemostasis and Malignancy and has reviewed abstracts for several years. Additionally, as Vice Chair of ITAC Darko Antic has co-authored key international guidelines for the prophylaxis and treatment of venous thromboembolism in cancer patients. Finnaly, Darko Antic is an active member of the European Research Initiative on CLL (ERIC) and is involved in numerous projects focused on the biological and clinical aspects of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia.
