About Kristen T. Peterson, PharmD, BCOP

I am a passionate and dedicated professional who strives to provide the best care for patients with cancer. As a Clinical Oncology Pharmacist, I collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, mid-level providers, nurses, and researchers to optimize and individualize drug therapy, manage medication-related issues, and educate patients and caregivers. I also contribute to the development and dissemination of evidence-based guidelines, protocols, and educational materials for patient care and research, leveraging my skills in internal communications and content development. I received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy, where I also completed a Certificate of Public Health. After graduating, I completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Rochester, MN followed by a PGY-2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY. My mission is to improve the quality of life and outcomes of patients with cancer while advancing the field of oncology pharmacy through innovation and collaboration.
