The Cardio-Oncology Knowledge Certification Exam was developed by over 45 cardio-oncology experts across the globe to reflect the most up-to-date knowledge in the discipline.

Requirements
1. Be An Active IC-OS Member
2. Clinical Training and/or Experience
Either:
- Provide a letter from a cardio-oncology program director as evidence of one (1) dedicated year of a cardio-oncology fellowship
OR - Three (3) years of clinical experience and structured educational cardio-oncology programs involving:
- Independent decision-making in patient management with experienced cardio-oncology mentor. This should include an adequate volume of patients (1-2 patients a week with 100 new patient evaluations minimum).
- Research is desirable, but clinical decision making and longitudinal care are mandatory.
- Non-fellowship trained applicants must have had structured educational programs extending over three years, which may include CME courses, webinars, conferences, residency programs, or other forms of education.
3. Letters of Recommendation
Letters of recommendation should be provided on institutional letterhead by:
- one (1) oncologist and one (1) cardiologist
AND/OR - A cardio-oncology program director (required for fellowship applicants).

How much does the certification cost?
The cost for this certification is $300.
Are there scholarships available?
If you are unable to afford the exam fee, please send a brief letter of explanation with your application to StephenCasselli@ic-os.org. Please include your name, country, and a short description of financial need.
What is your refund policy?
If your application is not accepted, we will provide a full refund of the fee paid.
What is the exam format?
The exam consists of 100 multiple choice questions.
How is the exam administered?
The exam is administered online. You will receive a link the day of the exam and you will have 24 hours to complete and return your answers.
