About Azin Alizadehasl, MD, FACC, FASE
Dr. Azin Alizadehasl was born in 1975 in Iran. In high school, she earned the silver medal at the World Olympiad of Chemistry in Italy in February 1992. After successfully completing the university entrance exam in Iran( ranked 17th in Iranian Concor exam), she enrolled at Tabriz University of Medical Science, completing seven years of study to become a general physician. Upon passing the residency exam ( Ranked ninth in this exam in Iran), she entered cardiology residency. Four years later, she achieved board certification, ranking among the top 5% in Iran in 2006. For five years, she served as a Medical faculty member at Tabriz University of Medical Sciences. In 2011, driven by her interests, she initiated the Echocardiography fellowship program at Rajaei Cardiovascular, Medical, and Research Center. Upon becoming an echocardiologist, she joined the medical faculty of Rajaei hospital, and during her tenure, she pursued further studies at Methodist hospital, Houston and Indianapolis, USA.
Upon returning to Iran, she identified the lack of Cardio-oncology in the country and decided to start the cardio-oncology courses at Toronto General Hospital and also other short courses in Canada and USA, 2018-2019. Finally she founded the first cardio-oncology department at Rajaei Heart Center, marking it as the inaugural cardiac center in Iran ( Founder of CardioOncology in Iran)
She assumed the role of Head of the Cardio-Oncology Department & Research Center. Throughout her career, she has garnered notable distinctions, including Fellowship of the American Society of Echocardiography (FASE) and Fellowship of the American College of Cardiology (FACC).
She actively contributes as a member of the ASE Guidelines and Standards Committee. She is also the author and editor of numerous national and international books with valuable publishing companies such as Elsevier, Springer, Cambridge and Jaypee.
She has an innovation in Echocardiography field with name of HOLTER ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY and also accepted innovation with name of A Polypill for prevention of cardiotoxicity including Carvedilol, Lisinopril, Aldactone and Atorvastatin by research deputy of Iranian ministry of health and also accepted innovation with name of TEE probe surface modification by preventing adhesion of macromoleculars ( Saliva).
