About Edith Pituskin, RN, MN (NP) PhD

Dr. Edith Pituskin holds a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair. She has been an oncology nurse for decades in multiple patient care settings. In her PhD work, she developed a cardio-oncology clinical and research program. Dr Pituskin is currently appointed as Associate Adjunct Professor in the Department of Oncology in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry. Dr Pituskin's overall research theme aims to alleviate the difficult side effects of necessary cancer treatments, often lifelong. Preventive pharmacotherapy, physical activity, early supportive care, dietary interventions are only a few of her approaches. She has received funding from SSHRC, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Alberta Innovates and Alberta Cancer Foundation.
