About João Pedro Passos Dutra, MD
Dr. João Pedro Dutra is a cardiologist researcher/faculty member at BCRI (Brazilian Clinical Research Institute). He is currently the coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Cardio-Oncology at Med.IQ/Brazilian Clinical Research Institute (BCRI), which is recognized by the Ministry of Education of Brazil and lasts one year. He is a cardiologist at the Cardio-Oncology Service of SOS Cárdio Hospital and CEPON Hospital (Center for Oncology Research) in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil.
Since 2021, he has held an international certification in Cardio-Oncology from the IC-OS (International Cardio-Oncology Society). His dedication to the field is further demonstrated by his completion of Postgraduate studies in Cardio-Oncology at the Brazilian Clinical Research Institute (BCRI) in 2022 and his attainment of a Master's degree in Cardio-Onco-Hematology from SEIC/Universidad Francisco de Vitoria, Madrid, Spain (2023).
He graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Santa Maria/RS (UFSM) in 2008, completed a medical residency in Internal Medicine at the Federal University of Pelotas/RS-Brazil (UFPEL) in 2010, and completed medical residencies in Cardiology (2012) and Echocardiography (2013) at IC-FUC (Institute of Cardiology of Rio Grande do Sul—University Foundation of Cardiology).
As a cardiologist, my passion for cardio-oncology is unwavering. I am deeply involved in cardio-oncology education and feel honored to be part of the IC-OS community, where I am eager to learn and grow alongside my peers.
