Dr. Susmita Parashar is cardiologist at the Emory Heart and Vascular Center and Associate Professor of Medicine (Cardiology) at Emory University School of Medicine. She directs the echocardiography lab and serves as the Chief, Department of Medicine at Emory Decatur Hospital. She also serves on The Emory Clinic Board as an At-Large elected member. She is the founder of cardio-oncology program at Emory, the first program in GA and one of the first in Southeast US, and directed the program for 8 years. She also co-directs the Young Adult Survivorship Program at Emory in collaboration with CHOA. She co-chairs the Survivorship Working Group of the International Cardio-Oncology Society, is a member of their Center of Excellence team, and conducts research on cardiomyopathy and coronary heart disease in cancer patients.
