FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
December 4, 2024
The International Cardio-Oncology Society (IC-OS) proudly announces its newest class of Centers of Excellence (COE), recognizing 16 outstanding institutions from six countries for their exceptional expertise and commitment to advancing cardio-oncology care.
The IC-OS COE certification is a prestigious designation awarded to institutions that have demonstrated superior standards in the care and treatment of patients within the cardio-oncology sphere. This certification establishes a robust quality metrics framework that fosters the development, growth, and clinical impact of each recognized program.
This year, the IC-OS welcomes 14 Gold-level and 2 Silver-level Centers of Excellence spanning across the United States, Israel, Australia, the United Kingdom, Russia, and Taiwan. These institutions exemplify clinical excellence, innovation, and leadership in addressing the complex intersection of cancer and cardiovascular health.
“The COE designation reflects a program’s commitment to excellence in cardio-oncology and highlights the global collaboration essential to advancing patient care in this growing field,” said Vijay Rao, MD, PhD, Chair of the IC-OS Centers of Excellence Committee. “We are inspired by the dedication of these institutions and their contributions to improving outcomes for patients worldwide.”
The IC-OS COE certification serves as a beacon for healthcare providers, patients, and the broader medical community, reinforcing the importance of integrative care models and clinical expertise in managing the unique challenges faced by cardio-oncology patients.
These newly designated Centers of Excellence join an esteemed network of institutions that share a unified vision of advancing the field of cardio-oncology through clinical practice, education, and research.
