About Roberta Florido, MD, MHS
Dr. Florido completed medical training at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, graduating cum laude. She received training in Internal Medicine at Boston University, where she was also selected to serve as a chief medical resident. She subsequently completed fellowships in cardiology and advanced heart failure at Johns Hopkins and a Master’s in Health Sciences at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, receiving numerous awards. She joined the faculty at Johns Hopkins in August of 2018, where she created and directed the cardio oncology program. In 2023 Dr. Florido joined the Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant group at the University of Utah as an Associated Professor and the Director of Cardio-Oncology. In 2025 she was selected as program director of the Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology Fellowship.
