About Anca Simona Tau MD,PhD
Dr. Anca Simona Tau is a senior cardiologist and internal medicine , holding a PhD in Medical Sciences and Lecturer at the “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania.
She worked for over 17 years at the Elias Emergency University Hospital, where she managed complex cardiovascular cases with a focus on echocardiography and vascular Doppler.
Her professional development includes advanced cardiovascular imaging training at UZ Gasthuisberg Leuven (Belgium) and Parma University Hospital (Italy).
Dr. Tau has been involved in international research as Principal Investigator in the ROCKET-AF trial, and as Co-Investigator in several global studies, including RED-HF (Amgen), ATACAND (AstraZeneca), and Sicl06-001 (Advance Life Sciences). Her clinical expertise lies in cardio-oncology, vascular imaging, and anticoagulation in complex populations such as patients with cancer, obesity, or advanced renal disease.
She is an active contributor to national and international scientific events and a member of ESC, ACC, ASE, and IC-OS.
