About Zeinab Salah Seliem
Dr. Zeinab Salah Seliem is a renowned Professor of Pediatric Cardiology at Cairo University and Head of the Cardiology Department at Children’s Cancer Hospital Egypt 57357 since 2007. As President of the Cardio-Oncology Working Group within the Egyptian Society of Cardiology, she has played a pioneering role in the development of this subspecialty, most notably organizing Egypt’s first cardio-oncology conference, “Hearts of All Ages.”
Formerly Head of Pediatric Cardiology at Cairo University, Dr. Seliem also led the Postoperative Cardiac ICU and Cardiomyopathy Clinic. She founded Egypt’s first Master’s program in Pediatric Cardiology and secured a major national grant to transform the cardiology department into a center of excellence, introducing advanced technologies such as Next-Generation Sequencing.
Her contributions include numerous international publications and leadership in pediatric life support training as National Organizer for APLS under the Egyptian Resuscitation Council (2010–2019), in collaboration with the European Resuscitation Council.
