Dr. Alexander Lyon is a Consultant Cardiologist and has served as clinical lead of the cardio-oncology service at the Royal Brompton Hospital since it was established in 2011. Alex is Director of the Cardio-Oncology Centre of Excellence which received a gold award by the International Cardio-Oncology Society (IC-OS) in 2021. Alex is an Executive Board member of IC-OS and served as co-chair of the first European Society of Cardiology Cardio-Oncology Guidelines. He is the immediate past chair of the ESC Council of Cardio-Oncology, the past president of the British Cardio-Oncology Society, and the current deputy editor of the European Heart Journal. Alex has published over 270 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals with a current H-index of 70. He is a co-PI of the Leducq Cardio-Oncology Network ($6M) and the EUHorizons IHI COMPASS Network (€50.5M).
