About Sanjay V Shankar MD, FACC, MMM

Dr. Shankar is a founding member of Heart One Associates LLC in Phoenix AZ. He completed his residency and fellowships at the University of Pittsburgh (UPMC).
Dr. Shankar has been in practice since 2010. Over the years, he has held many leadership positions including Chair of Medicine, Trinity Health system, Ohio. Currently, he is the Director of Apex Heart and Vascular Center in Phoenix AZ. Dr Shankar has worked with pioneers in the field of cardiology at The Ohio State University and Duke University. His research work has been published in top-tier Cardiology journals. He has written book chapters and has US patents based on his research. Dr Shankar has had a passion for the field of cardio oncology and established the cardio oncology program at Heart One Associates LLC. He has been taking care of Oncology patients and has been collaborating with many of the Oncology groups in the valley. Dr Shankar has also worked closely with Banner University and Mayo Clinic Scottsdale. He is a Member of the International Cardio Oncology Society (IC-OS).
