About The Amyloidosis Working Group
The Amyloidosis Working Group (AWG) of IC-OS seeks to improve patient outcomes and quality of care for individuals with amyloidosis through clinical research initiatives, innovative educational programs, and effective dissemination of best practices.
Recent Projects
Achievements since inception 7/2021:
- 4-part Webinar Series 2021, online curriculum. (Nearly 5000 active learners, in partnership with The France Foundation (TFF)
- Amyloidosis Update Online Module (completed this quarter, 1/2023), 2022
- Successful Grant Application with Primary Care focused educational series, 2023. (Partners with the Amyloidosis Foundation and The France Foundation)
- Multiple presentations on the weekly webinar series, 10 since 7/2021
- Combined webinars with the International Society of Amyloidosis (2)
- 5 minute Video for Early Detection and Improved Awareness of Amyloidosis (in production)
- Creation of Rachel Dara Lavine Awareness Fund

BEACON Program — Building Effective Amyloidosis Care Networks
This educational initiative has been developed by the International CardioOncology Society in collaboration with The France Foundation to improve how clinicians recognize, diagnose, and manage amyloidosis. Through live and virtual learning experiences, case discussions, and regional collaborations, BEACON strengthens referral pathways, accelerates diagnosis, and supports optimized care planning for patients with amyloidosis. By strengthening collaboration with specialized centers, the program enhances care coordination, speeds access to advanced therapies and supports better patient outcomes across the healthcare system.
