About Eri Kato, MD, MPH, PhD
Dr. Eri Toda Kato, MD, MPH, PhD, serves as Director of the Cardio Oncology Unit and Senior Lecturer in the Cardiovascular Department and Institute for Advancement of Clinical and Translational Science at Kyoto University Hospital. Dr. Kato completed advanced research fellowships at the Clinical Trial Service Unit (CTSU) at Oxford University, the TIMI Study Group, and Harvard Medical School, and earned her MPH from Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Kato also has served on several writing committees for several Japanese clinical guidelines, including the Japanese Onco-cardiology Guideline and the 2025 Guideline on Diagnosis and Treatment of Heart Failure. Through her expertise as a clinical trialist, translational researcher, and practicing physician, Dr. Kato is dedicated to advancing cardio-oncology and enhancing evidence-based patient care delivery.
