About Sang Gune Yoo, MD
Dr. Yoo is an Assistant Professor of Cardiology and Clinical Cancer Prevention at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago and his medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan, followed by fellowships in General Cardiology and in Cardio-Oncology & Amyloidosis at Washington University in St. Louis. His work focuses on the intersection of cardiology and oncology, with an emphasis on identifying and addressing shared, modifiable risk factors such as obesity, hypertension, and metabolic disease that influence long-term cardiovascular and cancer outcomes among survivors.
