IC-OS Korea

The Working Group on Cardio-Oncology conducts research on the effects of cancer therapy on the cardiovascular system. The group aims to develop mechanisms for the occurrence, diagnosis, and treatment of complications such as chemotherapy-induced cardiomyopathy, angina pectoris, hypertension, pulmonary hypertension, arrhythmia, and thrombosis that may arise during cancer therapy. Our goal is to advance education and research to extend the lives of cancer patients and improve their quality of life. We are trying to achieve this by developing safe anti-cancer treatment strategies and appropriately managing accompanying heart diseases, such as hypertension, arrhythmia, pericardial effusion, and valve disease, in cancer patients receiving treatment.
