Cancer patients are at higher risk of dying from heart disease and stroke than the general population, a new study finds.
Certain types of cancer, including breast, prostate, endometrial and thyroid cancer, carry an even higher risk of dying from cardiovascular disease.
As the number of cancer survivors increases, so will the rate of cardiovascular deaths, the researchers says.
